My name is Matt Asi-Pasitoa, and I am the Founder and Principal Consultant of TAUTUA by MA.
I work with leaders one on one to help them grow in clarity, confidence, and authenticity. My approach combines modern leadership research, Pacific wisdom, and faith-informed principles to support leaders from the inside out.

Alongside TAUTUA by MA, I serve as the General Manager for SENZ Charitable Trust, overseeing national operations for our contracts with the Ministry for Pacific Peoples, the Ministry of Social Development, and the Ministry of Education. These programmes help build better futures through employment, training, and parenting initiatives that strengthen individuals, families, and communities.

I hold a New Zealand Diploma in Business (Level 5) in Leadership and Management and a New Zealand Certificate in Business (First Line Management) (Level 4), both completed in 2024. I also hold a Diploma of Biblical Studies (2015) and national certificates in Personal Financial Capability and Financial Services (Level 3, 2019)
These qualifications reflect a balance between business leadership, practical management, and values-based formation.
My Story
Leadership has always been part of who I am. From a young age, I naturally found myself stepping into roles of responsibility and influence, whether at school, in the workplace, or in community settings. That pattern has continued throughout my life, reflected in the steady progression of every role I have held.

In my professional career, I have worked across a range of operational and management roles, progressing from entry roles, to management. These opportunities gave me practical experience in leading teams, managing people, and developing systems that support both performance and growth.
​
Alongside my professional work, I have also served in leadership roles within my church community as a Youth Pastor, Worship Pastor, and eGroup Leader. Each of these roles strengthened my understanding that leadership is not about title or control, but about people, service, and stewardship.
​
Over time, I recognised a common pattern. Many leaders are promoted because they excel in their roles, but they are not always equipped for the very different skill set that leadership requires. The result is often frustration, burnout, and self-doubt.
​
I was fortunate to have the intuition and determination to work through those challenges and find my footing. However, I also saw that not everyone has the same opportunity or support to make that transition successfully. This realisation inspired me to create TAUTUA by MA, a space designed to serve emerging leaders before they burn out and to refine existing leaders who want to grow with depth and purpose.

Across every season of my life, one truth has remained constant. True leadership begins with tautua, the act of service. It is the willingness to put others first, to nurture relationships, and to lead with humility and strength.
​
TAUTUA by MA exists to serve leaders in that journey. Each session is a one-on-one conversation that creates space for reflection, growth, and transformation. My goal is to help leaders build not only skill but also depth, and to lead in a way that is both effective and grounded.
​
Leadership, to me, is not about control or recognition. It is about service, stewardship, and courage.
And it begins with the willingness to let our leadership be shaped from within.
